NEWS
Cessna Stadium
The final season of Wichita State football was in 1986.
The former home of Shockers football still stands at Cessna Stadium. It is now more known for hosting the WSU Track & Field Team or the Kansas State High School Track Championships.
WSU is now looking to make over $40 million in changes to the stadium which will be done in phases (1A, 1B, 2A, 2B).
Some of the changes include:
Phase 1A will begin August 2023. Phase 1B would start in June 2024. 2A in June 2025. All of this work results in ~10,000 seats.
Is this laying the ground work for a new football team? I have no insider info, but I sure hope so! Maybe we need to call Ted Lasso?

ICT EXTRA
If you have this car, watch out..
You may have heard of a catalytic converter and no itβs not a flux capacitor (Back to the Future) or a power converter at Tosche Station (Star Wars).
Itβs a car part that thieves like to steal so they can sell. If you have any of the cars on this list, you might want to keep an eye out. Some of the top cars include:
Wells go Dry
It has been an extreme drought in Wichita.
βMany wells have started to dry up. For some, it only affects their landscaping. For others, it affects their whole house.

High School Competition
The Kansas State BOE has approved a proposal to address the potential / perceived imbalance in competition with public vs private schools.
A multiplier has been approved that applies to private schools that have won 5+ team state championships (across all sports) in the last 5 years. If this has occurred, they would move up at least one KSHSAA class.
The final vote goes to Kansas legislature.
Private schools make up < 8% of KSHSAA schools but win almost 40% of championships.
